It is my guesstimation that you are seeking the elusive and very mythical "fame/sucsess" of a recording contract. (Please tell me I am wrong.)
It would be a huge loss to the music loving world (and an equally big mistake on your part) were that to happen.
Please stay independent, at least until the "music war" is over and the mammals declare victory over the dinosaurs.
Signing a record deal is BAD for EVERYONE (except the RIAA labels who would simply put your stuff on a shelf and lock the door once they own you and are able keep you from the competition.)

Hey. Amy here. I'm just seeking to make the best music I can, to write it from my heart, and record it as I hear it in my head, so that the whole experience from the page to the CD is honest. Whether or not I'm looking to be on a label...who knows. I'm independent now, and as much as I can, I will make my recordings as cost-effective as I can to get the music out directly to people who want to hear it. But it's hard, man!
